Family Planning’s Glenys Wood
Glenys Wood retired from Family Planning in December 2012 after a career with us spanning an incredible 37 years and seven months. After beginning with us as a volunteer, at the time of her retirement, Glenys was the Health Promotion Area Manager for a six-strong team of health promoters working in an area from south of the Bombay Hills, across to the north of the Coromandel Peninsula, south to Taupo, northwest to Taumarunui, and across to Raglan.
Glenys became a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2008 New Year’s Honours for her services to women and health.
