TechSoup – What they can do for your NGO

TechSoup New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation that works to help New Zealand charitable organisations to understand technology.
We work with world leading IT suppliers to provide charitable organisations with donated and discounted computers and software.
They provide:

  • Technology donations and discounts for not-for-profits – including Office 365, Google Apps for Non-profits, plus other software and hardware
  • Events for not-for-profit organisations – including workshops and webinars

How do you join Techsoup?

Register on their website.  Techsoup will process your registration and advise what your charitable status entitles you to receive.

What benefits would our organisation receive?

There are different levels of eligibility depending on how each software provider assesses your organisation.

An example of the software donations available through Techsoup

For instance, an entitlement could offer Office 365 E3 edition for $4.50 per user per month (latest desktop and online versions of Microsoft Office, plus 1TB of  storage and online email) or Office Professional Plus 2013 for $40.  (Full price for these offerings are Office 365 E3 = $29/user/month, or Office Professional 2013 = $859).

The Google Apps for Non-profits New Zealand program has recently been released and more information about it can be accessed here.

MYOB online accounting offerings range from $16-$40 per month.
